Our next meeting is February 3rd. when our guest speaker will be Marc H. Pfeiffer, MPA, who is the Senior Policy Fellow | Faculty Researcher, Bloustein Local Government, Center for Urban Policy Research. Mr. Pfeiffer retired in 2012 from a 37-year career in New Jersey local government administration, having served as a municipal administrator in several municipalities, and 26 years in the Division of Local Government Services, the state’s local government oversight agency. At DLGS he served as Deputy Director for 14 years, and periodically as Acting Director.
Marc has broad experience in many areas of local government policy and administration, including specific expertise in finance and property taxation, public procurement, shared services and consolidation, technology, energy, labor relations, and the legislative process.
He is currently researching uses of technology in local government, as well as models for rebuilding local news in New Jersey. He is an advisor to the Corporation for New Jersey Local Media, the nonprofit governance entity for New Jersey Hills Media Group.
Marc received a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Affairs at American University, and a Masters degree in Public Administration from NYU.
FEBRUARY SCHEDULE: Due to the Monday Holidays we will have two meetings in a row -- Feb 3 and 10 and then none until March.

ITS RAFFLE TIME! Our club participated in one of the last several District 50/50 Raffles. We are ready to go with the raffle in it's new name, the Annual Club 50-50 Raffle.
The raffle is being offered by the NJ Service Foundation, formerly the Rotary D7475 Service Foundation. All of the trustees of the NJ Service Foundation are active Rotarians in District 7475, but the raffle is not a District raffle - it is a fundraiser for Rotary clubs, the same raffle fundraiser that has been offered for at least the past 10 years.
This Raffle has the potential to raise the full amount of one of our scholarships, as we get $9.75 from every $20 ticket, with a full $10 going to the prize winners. We will be distributing a book of 5 tickets to each club member on February 10. I know many of you can sell more than one book. If you want more tickets, please let either Jim or Joe know, as they will be handling the recordkeeping. We’re also looking for a member to help out with the promotional end of this project. Please consider volunteering!
