🗓️ This Week’s Meeting: November 17
We’re honored to welcome Galina Muller, Executive Director of SAGE Eldercare, as our guest speaker. SAGE is one of New Jersey’s longest-standing nonprofits, dedicated to helping older adults remain independent and supported at home.
Under Galina’s leadership, SAGE provides:
  • 🥣 Meals on Wheels
  • 🏡 Home care services
  • 🕊️ Adult day programs
  • 👪 Family caregiver support
Galina is passionate about building strong community partnerships to ensure seniors and their families receive practical, compassionate help when they need it most.

🎶 December: A Month of Music and Celebration
Celebrate the season with two inspiring inter-club holiday concerts featuring the remarkable talents of our local high school musicians:
🎼 December 8 – Summit High School Holiday Concert
  • Featuring the Summit High School Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra
  • Co-sponsored by the Summit Lions and Summit/New Providence Rotary
  • Guests are warmly welcome!
🎷 December 15 – New Providence High School Holiday Concert
  • Featuring the NP Jazz Choir and NP Swingin’ Strings
  • Proudly sponsored by the Summit/New Providence Rotary
📍 Both concerts will be held at Christ Church, 561 Springfield Ave, Summit, NJ
đź’µ Fees are included in your S/NP dues; a nominal fee applies for guests
📝 Pre-registration will be required for all attendees to ensure accurate headcounts

🏅 District News
🌟 District Governor Nominee Announced
We’re pleased to announce that Kirti Reddy of the Watchung Warren Rotary Club has been selected as District Governor for 2028–2029, following the November 15 decision by the District Nominating Committee.
Our own Susan Haig served on the committee representing our region. If time permits on Monday, Susan may share highlights about our new DGN.
 
🍽️ Union County Regional Dinner Recap
Last Wednesday’s regional dinner focused on Rotary’s global membership trends. Key takeaways included:
  • Declining membership in developed countries
  • Growth in Asia and Africa
  • Union County recognized as a top-performing region in NJ
  • Emphasis on storytelling, technology, and youth engagement to strengthen club collaboration and attract new members
