We will again meet on March 17th. Besides being St. Patrick’s Day, we will learn about the inner workings of the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, Inc.
The Squad is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization providing pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation. They render aid and assistance to Summit. Emergency Medical Services are provided at no charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all those in need. THE Summit EMS responds to more than 2,300 emergency calls each year.

CONFERENCE: Over the years Rotary has held its district conference over a weekend in such places as Lake George, Hershey, the Poconos. The district is thrilled to announce that on April 5, 2025, we are holding an exciting one-day District Conference to celebrate you and Rotary. Our entire programming is based on member feedback and suggestions. Thank you for your input! This compact and action-filled day promises to add value to your Rotary experience and help your club succeed
The Summit / New Providence Club will pay the registration for the first five people who sign up for the conference. The event is close by at The Imperia, on Easton Avenue in Franklin Township. The date again, is April 5th.
Our own Donna Patel is going to be leading one of the sessions. In addition there will be stimulating messages, networking and dynamic conversations, learning opportunities, sumptuous international cuisine and lots of fun together.
THANK YOU to everyone who responded to Mike Katz request for volunteers for the Scholarship Committee. The task is fully staffed and they will begin work in the next couple of weeks to determine our scholarship recipients from Summit and New Providence for 2025.
MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT MIXER: The membership committee is putting together a Membership Recruitment event for Thursday March 27th in the late afternoon, early evening at a Downtown Summit location. Start thinking about your friends and business contacts whom you think should be a member of the Summit / New Providence Rotary Club and ask them to hold the date. It will be a fun event! Watch for details.
OFFICERS: We are pleased to report that Peter Bolton has agreed to serve as President Elect in 2025-26 and will follow Mort as President the following year. Congratulations Pete!
