📍 Monday Meeting Reminder
Rotary meets this Monday at 12:15 PM at Christ Church. Our program will feature several “My Life Before Rotary” updates from new members. Expect a few surprises—our newest Rotarians have led fascinating lives before joining us!

🚗 Parking Reminder: With school back in session, please avoid the church parking lot during meeting hours. It’s reserved for nursery school drop-off and pick-up. Street parking is available.

🧃 BYOB Board Meeting Recap
Last Monday, our club held its first BYOB Board meeting, focused on welcoming and supporting new members. In just 85 minutes, we covered:
  • Financial updates and funding sources
  • Membership fees and donor-advised fund setup at The Community Foundation of New Jersey
  • Service initiatives, speaker programming, and volunteer opportunities
  • Strategic planning: corporate document updates, new member engagement, and expanded service ideas (including blood drives and scholarship enhancements)
We wouldn’t be surprised if another BYOB meeting is scheduled later this year!

🌏 District Youth Exchange with Japan
The Short-Term Youth Exchange Program with Japan’s District 2670 has wrapped up its 47th successful year. Thousands of students and families have benefited from this enriching international experience.
District leaders are already brainstorming ideas for a 50th anniversary celebration—stay tuned!

🎓 RYLA 2025 Highlights
From June 26–29, over 120 high school students from our district and District 7490 attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program at Caldwell University, hosted by the Rotaract Club of Leadership and Service.
These future leaders embraced Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self, built lasting friendships, and honed their leadership and teamwork skills. Their energy and commitment were truly inspiring.

🔄 District Leadership Update
As of July 1, our district has transitioned from the Assistant Governor (AG) model to a new Area Representative structure.
  • Clubs will now select their Area Rep from within their own membership
  • The Area Rep’s role is to represent, not govern
  • Each Area Rep joins the District Leadership Team as a direct link to their area
We are part of Union Area 3, alongside Berkeley Heights, Roselle/Roselle Park, and Springfield, with approximately 100 members total.
