Over 100 Years of Service
We meet on alternating Mondays at Christ Church in Summit starting at 12:15 pm.
At our first meeting of 2026 we were privileged to have two senior representatives from Overlook hospital address us, Clelia Biamonti, PhD, Chief Philanthropy Officer of the Overlook Foundation and Dr. Dr. Muhammad Feteiha, Chairman of the Surgical Quality Review Committee, and Vice Chairman of the division of General Surgery.

Dr. Biamonti discussed the decade-long expansion and facility enhancements to the hospital, which is now finished.  There have been many additions to the hospital’s services including a major upgrade to maternity amenities, modernization of the information system, energy backup system, surgical areas, patient environment and many access improvements such as a major new parking garage for the staff.  The $97 million rehab has been extensive and more details can be found here: https://njbiz.com/overlook-medical-center-completes-97m-expansion/.  Dr. Biamonti also shared some impressive statistics about the Hospital’s standing in NJ and the country.  It is ranked #3 in NJ (behind Morristown, also an Atlantic Health hospital) out of fifty hospitals, and it is ranked in the top 1% of all hospitals in the US.

Dr. Feteiah detailed some of the many improvements made to the surgical areas including twenty operating theatres and a host of the latest surgical tools such as the Globus robot, and systems to significantly improve procedures in areas such as Parkinson’s and lung cancer.  He also briefly discussed the increasing use of AI and the emergence of new possibilities through its use.

We greatly appreciated their inputs and know we are lucky to have such an excellent facility in our community.
