📱 A Proposal Worth Ringing About…
A NOTE From your Secretary:

Over the past few meetings, our speakers have been competing with an unexpected soundtrack—cell phone ringtones. While we all rely on our devices, they’re not ideal background music for our programs.

Years ago, our Club had a clever tradition: a small “fine” for phones that rang during meetings. It was lighthearted, effective, and helped preserve the dignity of our events.

Let’s consider bringing it back! Options include:
  • A simple reminder to silence phones before meetings
  • A “Sad Dollar” penalty for interruptions
  • Or perhaps a donation to the speaker’s favorite cause?
Our speakers deserve our full attention. For just 30 minutes, let’s make our meetings ring-free zones—in the best way possible.

📬 Share your thoughts with the Secretary!
